Meet Our Team
Dr. Kristian Richardson
Dr. Kristian Richardson has been practicing dentistry in Southern Maine for the last 10 years. She graduated from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia with her Doctorate in Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) in 2011 and moved to Maine to pursue the American Dream! She has lived in Scarborough for the past five years and is so excited to practice dentistry and promote oral health in her hometown!
Dr. Richardson is passionate about dentistry and believes strongly in continuing education. She is currently completing a five-year Academy of General Dentistry Mastership program and belongs to the Maine Dental Society, the American Dental Society and the Spear Study Club. While she is originally from New Brunswick, Canada, she now calls Scarborough her home. When she is not taking care of her patients, she can be found with her husband, Mason III, and three boys, Mason IV, Jack and Owen, enjoying one of Scarborough’s beaches or hiking the peaks and valleys of Maine. She is committed to continuing the quality care that you have come to know from Dr. Schliesman and his team. Please feel free to come and meet her!

Chris
Chris, our Patient Care Coordinator, is a joy to have in the office and our patient’s often remarked they can hear Chris’s smile through the phone when they call. She has over 30 years of experience as an office manager and is keen to help our patients with scheduling their appointments and understanding their dental insurance benefits. She is very nostalgic and has been known to keep our young patient’s artwork throughout the years. She has been married to her husband, Rick, for 34 years and they share two children and four grandchildren! They love boating, walking, spending time together, and with their family in Maine and in Florida.

Heather
Heather has been Dr. Richardson’s Certified Dental Assistant for the last 10 years. She prides herself in making each patient feel as comfortable as possible during their dental appointment. As a former self-described ‘dental phobic’ herself, she has made it her mission to change people’s perspective of how dentistry should be. She has been married to her husband, Tony, for 25 years and has a daughter, Samantha, who has completed two university degrees. Heather is described by those closest to her as a wonderful mother, wife, and friend. We agree!

Kim
Kim has been our wonderful Registered Dental Hygienist for the last 38 years! She cares for her patients like family which is why she has a loyal following! In her spare time, Kim enjoys spending time with her family and traveling to Greenville to enjoy the lake life and cross-country skiing with her partner, Ted. Kim is very close with her family and routinely talks about the baby boom currently going on within her family! She is adored by her patients because she’s known for providing quality hygiene services in a caring manner. We are lucky to have her!
